The Papercut Arcade Collective exists with to run interactive events, workshops and exhibitions. We produce interactive art and games, share and inspire each other through creative challenges, and we create safe spaces to explore creativity and art with like-minded folks.
Our collective strives to be a welcoming and safer group for people of all races, identities, and levels of education.
We wish to respectfully acknowledge that we host events, and play on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. We ask that our creators also take the time to acknowledge, consider and respect the lands, waters, territories and treaties (or lack-thereof) wherever they are making and creating. We believe in and support #landback and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Who are the Papercut Arcade:
In 2020, our collective became a non-profit society. While we work continue to work through the paperwork (bring on the paper cuts), we have a society hierarchy made up of Collective Members (those who are currently organizing and paying out of pocket to make things happen, curators and artists), Associate Collective Members (participating in challenges, monthly challenges, salons and exhibitions) and Supporting Members (those who occasionally participate in the events or who donate to the society).
