Observation initiates the reactions and reflections through which we construct a narrative about our identity within the context of social structures and cultural permissions. The ‘Marilyn Icon’ prevails, inviting us to devour this stereotype of women whose appearance is their power rather than their unique existence, intelligence or actions.”
