I wanted to write a medias res story, where the character lived through the initial wave of the apocalypse, and years into the future, where they know the world they live in, and how to navigate it (mostly).

Description of the Work
Deeper into the forest takes place roughly four years after the start of the apocalypse, and it follows the character for a day as they leave the area that they have been living on, to find food, as everything around them is dying out. Players can tap the screen to go to the next page, and tap on which option they would like to choose.
